The year is 2023. The sun sets over the post-apocalyptic dystopian world that lies beneath the forests in the mountains. Twilight breaks. The darkness of night is approaching, and a foreboding sense of urgency and impending disaster accompanies the night sky, shrouding the city like a magician's cloak. This is the modern world.

The Earth is rich in natural resources, yet many of its inhabitants are impoverished. Technology and industry, mankind's triumphs, are not accessible to all and often come with significant environmental costs. Forests are burning, animals are losing their homes, and societies around the world are in disarray.

"fairy core" is the fourth solo E.P. from UK-based China Rose. It serves as a commentary on the state of the modern world, exploring themes such as existentialism, artificial intelligence, and humanity's impact on the natural environment. This E.P. features two powerful tracks that seamlessly blend contemporary psychedelic textures with epic, cinematic musical passages. With gritty leads and glitchy textures strewn throughout, "fairy core" delivers an emotive and full-power contribution to the twilight subgenre.
