PRESS RELEASE:

"Secrets of the Forest" is the debut release from "the Story of the Rose" - the psybient project of UK-based music producer Rebecca Broadbent aka China Rose. The release features three tracks which are intended to take the listener on a hypnotic journey through the forest, into the sunrise hours, before finally reaching a destination that the listener can call "home".

This E.P features sounds from nature, such as rustling leaves, footsteps walking through grass, and birdsong, to create a real-world sense of being within the serenity of the natural world. The music is a fusion of psychedelic and organic textures and beautiful lush orchestration. Glitchy elements are peppered throughout. Dreamy and ethereal vocals glide through the E.P, adding a surreal and dreamlike quality to the music.

This project was born out of a desire to return to a quieter, slower pace of life. It draws inspiration from the peace and calm that can be found in nature, as well as the beauty and wonder that can be enjoyed through a quiet walk through the forest.

"Secrets of the Forest" will be available on all major music platforms from 08th November 2023.
